  2. Friends said I should post something here.
A few years ago we found a neat little place that is great for the family, couples or even large groups.
Besides the family trips, my wife and I have gone up by ourselves for a weekend getaway and I have snuck up for solo trips to recharge.

    Now the 3 w’s.

    What is it?
They are two cabins that are right next to each other (hence the large groups) that rent for reasonable rates. They are fully furnished and have more amenities then some of the more expensive/exclusive vacation rentals we have tried (see website).
So what is the big deal and why post here?
Well both cabins have hot spring water pumped directly into them!!!
125 degrees of pure unfiltered, no odor, no chemicals rejuvenating elixir of the gods.
Okay, that may be a bit much…the elixir part anyway.
The water is wonderful and it is one of the most relaxing places I have been to.
The added bonus is they sit above a year round creek!

    Where is it?
    (Borrowed from the website) http://www.hotspringsrentals.net
These creek side cabins are nestled just inside the Sequoia National Monument at California Hot Springs. Gateway to the Sequoia National Forest. A good starting point for hiking, fishing, rock climbing, picnicking, birding, driving tours and camping.
The cabins are an hour or less drive to the Trail of a Hundred Giants, Dome Rock, Kern River, Quaking Aspens, Ponderosa and so much more. There are at least four historic fire lookouts in the area. Within walking distance to the Historic California Hot Springs Resort. Just northeast of Bakersfield. Less then 3 hours from Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo and about 6 hours from the Bay Area and Sacramento.

    Who is it?
These cabins are family owned and operated. The owners have tried to keep the homey rustic feel in all the operations so do not expect chocolates on your pillow.
I spoke to Chuck (great name) and he told me that they want people to feel like they can relax and not have to worry about the hustle and bustle of a commercial enterprise.

Check out the website for more info and see for yourself what is offered.
The area is undiscovered and not a big tourist trap as most places are.

    Happy soaking.
    Chuck
